Web of Evil.

When I say that there is Satanism in our rock culture but there is no supernatural being called Satan, you say, "Then what harm can it do?"

I don't believe in Satan, but they do.

Ask yourself what harm can drugs and divorce do?
What harm can negativity and suicide do?
What harm can hatred of the Church do?

You can see the results for yourselves.

Untold suffering and the demise of the Church leave our world with no virtue and no hope.

Satanism in our modern culture has poisoned everything.
We are deceived and diverted.  Our hearts are hardened.
We are perverted and corrupted without even realizing.

Look more closely at what you are watching and listening to.

If you can see beneath the mask of popularity you will find the answer.

Darkness and destruction lurk in the shadows.

Once you see this you will begin to emerge.

Turn to God and be delivered from this web of evil.

The Lamb Without Spot.

The Christian claim that Jesus was without sin is a myth.

I do not believe that Jesus lived his whole life without committing a sin.

How would Jesus have known that God forgave sins if he had not had his own sins forgiven?

The line in the Lord's Prayer can be read: may we forgive others as we have been forgiven.

I believe that Jesus was an ordinary human being like you or me who, through study and prayer, drew close to God.

I believe that Jesus was the guiding spirit of the Age of Pisces.

We are now in a transition period between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius.

But the new revelations do not conflict with the teachings of the historical Jesus.

The message is essentially the same:
Unconditional love and forgiveness from God.

21 Grams of Light.

It has been said that when a person dies the body loses 21 grams of weight.

Not only this but a light leaves the body.
What had previously been a living, animated being becomes a dull, lifeless thing - an inanimate object.

What is this mysterious 21 grams of light?

This is the person who inhabited the body.

The body itself is lifeless matter.
The person in the body is the life we see.
And that is light.

If we are to believe mediums and Christians this is the person's spirit which lives on after death.

There are documented cases of this spirit visiting loved ones before moving on to the next world.

This resembles the sightings of Jesus after the crucifixion.

But where does it go?

Mediums would suggest that it goes to be with the person's loved ones who have passed over and the learning process continues.

Christians say that it goes to heaven, which may be the same place.

It is not given to us to know.

It is our task to trust God.

And believe that all will be well.

Moses' Heart.

Contrary to popular opinion I believe Moses was chosen by God for the quality of his heart.

On the holy mountain God says to Moses, "'I have observed the misery of my people who are in Egypt.  I have heard their cry on account of their taskmasters. Indeed, I know their suffering, and I have come down to deliver them from the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, flowing with milk and honey'"  Exodus 3:7.8 (NRSV)

So God's compassion for His people is manifested through Moses' heart.

Rather than the traditional view that Moses showed great obedience to God I believe that Moses showed great love for God and His people.

By all accounts the children of Israel were a stubborn and unruly mob.
What was needed were some guidelines to renew their relationship with God.
God provided those guidelines through Moses' covenant.

[It should be noted that the original covenant (Exodus 34) was not a set of rules at all but observance of major religious festivals.  The Ten Commandments were not written for another 600 years.]

Universal Religion.

It has been said that at a deeper level all religions teach the same things.

But what are these things?

What are the principles of universal religion?

First of all religion teaches that we have a soul, an atman, a true self which is a spark of the Divine.

This leads to the teaching that all are equal before God which is the basis of human rights.

The Golden Rule: "Do to others as you would have them do to you" is taught by all religions in one form or another.

This inspires compassion and consideration for others.

All religions teach that God is the author and source of all life.

This leads to the belief that all life is interconnected and should be respected.

All teach that God is Light.

This is symbolic of dreams, visions, revelations, knowledge, and understanding = enlightenment.

In the end all religions teach that love is the way and that God is Love.

This inspires us to open our hearts and give love to God and to others.

Experience.

What we do.
And what we seem.
Is a product of our experience.

We are born into a body with certain potentialities which we inherit from our parents.

These potentialities interact with others in the world to create our personalities.

These personalities develop through decisions made in response to our education and our experience.

So, if a person has had mostly negative experiences in the world, their personality may be negative, even destructive.

And because this personality is the result of negative experiences the person is ultimately forgivable.

If, when we look at a person, we see the pure divine spark at the center of this constructed personality we can forgive them and love them as God loves us.

Panentheism.

God is everywhere,
everything,
and everyone.

There is no limit to
the presence of God.

God is all around us
all the time.

We are never alone.

Our beautiful world,
the hearts of humanity,
our animal friends,
all partake of the love of God.

We can talk to this presence
through perseverance in prayer.

And know that we are loved.

The Father.

"'Righteous Father, the world does not know you, but I know you, and these know you that you have sent me.'"  John 17:25 (NRSV)

The world does not know you, but you have chosen to reveal your face to me:

The Father is all good always.
His Love is steadfast and everlasting.
He is reliable and trustworthy.
Merciful and full of forgiveness.
He responds with grace.
His way is the way of the heart.
And His nature is Love.

                                            Amen.

Controlled.

The main reason why any idealism that has survived to the present does not manifest is because we are controlled.

Our attitudes, our thoughts, and our attention are dictated by the media and the popular culture.

Buy, watch, own, compete - these are the messages we are given.

And all power devolves to the rich plutocrats who own our media.

But it's no use relying on pop stars and rock legends to save us.
They sold us out long ago.

So the time has come to turn off the T.V., to throw away your C.D.s, and to unplug your earphones.....

If you don't want to be controlled.

House of Prayer.

"for my house shall be called a house of prayer
for all peoples."  Isaiah 56:7c (NRSV)

It is this passage which Jesus referred to when he cleansed the Temple in Jerusalem.

It reflects the inclusive nature of Jesus' ministry.

And it reinforces the notion that God rejects no one.

A Monument.

"For thus says the Lord:
To the eunuchs who keep my sabbaths,
who choose the things that please me
and hold fast my covenant,
I will give, in my house and within my walls,
a monument and a name
better than sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
that shall not be cut off."  Isaiah 56:4,5 (NRSV)

Like the Berdache or Two-Spirits of the American Indians eunuchs* have a special role in the Heavenly House of God.

* Sexually unproductive males were excluded from worshipping in the Jewish Temple.  By inference this can be said to include homosexual men.
